What's the word on the street about Robinson Armament? Looking at getting an AK style something and they seem to be pretty reasonably priced and well made, but I'd like some more input.

    All I know is, if you can get anything from them, good luck. They make fine firearms when they get around to shipping them, but I have a good friend who is a FFL dealer and they have been hanging onto several hundred dollars of his for several months, because they can't build what he ordered.

    Their rifles are top notch quality, but don't lay down any cash in anticipation of receiving an order from them. Only lay the money down if the firearm is sitting in front of you. That is, unless you don't mind a wait of several months.

    What's the deal? Don't they like money? I'll probably buy from a dealer anyway (always do) so I was just wondering about their physical quality and fucntionality. Thanks for the input.

    I love my VEPR-K. It is a great firearm, very accurate. It is one of the older models with the fixed stock. They are built like bricks, and heavier than your standard AK.

    If you want an RPK receiver, attached to a heavy barrel, built like a tank, superior fit and finish, MADE IN RUSSIA, etc. buy one. I have never regretted owning one as a plinker. It's cheaper to shoot than a 22mag and more fun. I went 1000 rounds without cleaning to test the reliability and had not one malfunction. There are a lot of accessories available to customize them and they can be had in 4 different calibers. Just don't expect 1" or sub MOA AR accuracy.
