Browning A-Bolt Medallion

Does browning still make the a-bolt medallion(walnut stock)in 300wsm with the"BOSS MUZZLE BRAKE?They are listed in brownings 2009 catalog but i have tried ordering one from a few different stores and they say their books that they order from don't have them listed.I haven't found any on here in the auctions either. thanks

    Saw a 7MM Rem Mag Browning A-Bolt Medallion at a gun store today for $360, including scope mount. It looked to be in excellent shape except for some dings and scratches on the stock (nothing major--but you can tell it is used). Seemed like a good price to me. Does anybody have opinion on the A-bolt in 7MM or A-bolts in general. Would $350 be a good price??

    The Browing A-bolt is a fine rifle, especially in the Medallion series. I looked up the MSRP on the Browning site, it is $835. I'd have to say its a fair price, if its in excellent condition as you say. As far as my opinion on the A-bolt, I have one in 300wsm and its super accurate and high quality all the way around.

    at that price,..especially in a gunshop,` I would look awful hard for something wrong with it. But if it is true, then snatch it up.

    why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

    The bore looked to be dirty, but other than that, I could find nothing except the dings and scratches on the stock. I saw no rust, no cracks in the stock, the action seemed fine, muzzle looked good, everything was tight and the gun looked unmodified in any way. Maybe they just thought the dings on the stock were a bigger deal than I did. Looked to me like a good, solid gun that's just been used a bit. When I go back, I'll take a light to check out the bore more closely, but I think it just needs to be cleaned. It was hard to tell without having a light to get a good look. The shop is actually a regional Cabela's type outfit that has a lot of used guns, and not a smaller, mom-and-pop type store. They have a good reputation, and I've never had problems with anything I bought from them in the past. I had them hold the gun for me and will go in tomorrow to make sure all is good. If I see a problem then, I don't have to commit.
