GRIPS FOR BLACKHAWK

I WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE THE GRIPS ON MY RUGER BLACKHAWK. I HAVE BIG HANDS AND THE TRIGGER GUARD HITS MY MIDDLE FINGER. I HAVE HEARD THAT PACMYER MAKES GRIPS FOR THE BLACKHAWK. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHICH GRIPS FIT THE BEST FOR A MAN WITH BIG HANDS? THE GRIPS NEED TO BE WIDER SO I CAN GET A HANDFUL OF GRIP WHICH WILL HELP WITH THE CONTROL. I HAVE THE 30 CAL CARBINE BLACKHAWK. ANY INFO ON PACMYER GRIPS OR ANY BRAND WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANK YOU.

    paul "fitz" please contact me at candres35@hotmail.com in regaurd to the imitation stag grip for blackhawk. i have 41mag nad 44 mag and a bisley vaquero in 45colt. i havent been able to find these grips for them. CARL

    I'll put in a good word for Hogues. They took almost all of the "owie" factor out of my SBH.

    Thanks for the tip, danski. I've got some nice walnut lying around that I wanted to make some grips out of. As comfortable as the Hogues are on my SBH, I still like the looks of the wood better. I'll save up for the round trigger guard,

    Some 20+ years ago I put a Pachmyer on my SBH in 44mag just for protection from that *#!(@* square edged trigger guard. Recently I picked up an identical pistol at an estate sale, and can't find the same grip anywhere....SO, I will be watching this post too.

    I just priced the round trigger guard for the SBH at Brownell's.
    I'll keep the Hogue monogrip for a while. I don't mind putting $20-30 into a Ruger single action to make it easier to shoot, but I didn't want to sink half the price of a good, used revolver on a trigger guard. Not for now, at least.

    This just in! I just found a set of walnut target grips from Numrich that cover that blasted dragoon trigger guard AND retain (somewhat) the western look of the revolver. For less than $20.00, including S&H.
