P38 Value/Condition/Rarity?

I have the opportunity to purchase a P38 in 9mm. Marked P38 with "byf" over "43" on the left hand of the slide. Is swastika marked. Overall condition is very good. Has bakelite grips - no cracks or chips.

Rarity? Price?

Asking price is $350.

  It was made by Mauser in 1943. Although one of the more common varations, the price is OK if it is in original issue ( very good condition or better), i.e. hasn't been refinished, no recent importers markings. All the serial numbers, IF PRESENT on the various parts and subassembles should match. (Last two digets sometimes only).

  There are only four parts on a byf43 that have the serno. Frame, slide, locking block, and barrel. They should all match. This variation does not have a numbered mag and never did.
  
  Right now, P.38's are in a seller's market so the price is cheap. '43 being the last year of the war where the Krauts were winning, the material and workmanship is good. The magazine SHOULD have a tiny Eagle 135 Waffenamt for the Mauserwerk that made it. Not real important, but a plus for sure.
  
  Check it real good for import marks. On P.38's, I've seen them under the grips and on the backstrap below the hammer, just to name a couple of odd places.
  
  You should jump on it with both feet at that price. They don't make'em anymore.
