Benelli Nova

What is your opinion of the Benelli Nova Pump 20 Gauge, 26", 3"? I've heard they are very good and quite nice to shoot.

    Can someone tell me if these have a chrome lined bore? I'd like to get one ported but am told that it can't be done if they are chrome.

    i dont own a benelli personally, but my friend swears by them, from what i've heard they're good guns

    $50.00-$75.00 to high. Check the auctions. Great guns if you can stand the recoil.

    I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.

    We had the Nova as our Issued shotgun at the PD i worked at afew yrs back Very nice gun for its mission action was smooth and never jamed on us in trainingand had a nice set of ghost ring sights on it too I imagine a hunting version would be very similar just with different barrel But for price you gave seems high for it

    Friend had one and it worked well in spite of plastic. As duckhunter says, recoil with 3 1/2 and 3 inch shells can be brutal. Price does seem high. I would check local gun shop or here on GB for current price range.

    You should be able to get a brand new one for a little less than that. They are good shotguns, should last you a lifetime if you take care of it.

    well i think i will go with the remington. i didn't like all the plastic in the benelli and the camo finish looked like it wouldn't hold up so well. just thought it might be a decent price. thanks for the info. not comparing them, just asking if it was a good deal on the benelli. it is not a good deal, so i am going to go with the remington.

    I'm not an expert, but i did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

    Too much money! You can buy a new one for that. I'm in my third season with one... hunted everything from deer and feral hogs to pheasant, coyotes and quail with mine. Excellent shotgun!

    Its a little over priced, but don't let the synthetics scare you off from the Nova. Its the only pump shotgun that I'll every own again. Sure the Remington 870 is a fine gun, but the Nova has the edge. I've been in the duck blind with some fellas who couldn't cycle their 870's due to the cold freezing rain, my Nova functioned without a problem. Their guns were in pieces. Now lets say that I ever have one of those action lock-ups like they did. All I have to do is pop out 2 pins in the reciever, take off the trigger assembly, and simply take out the bolt.

    Nova's the way to go, but that one is overpriced. My black syn 26" in. was $280 at Galyans last year.

    Greatest pump shotgun. Period.

    It is overpriced and it is a nice shotgun. The nova will rattle a little but is good otherwise. I looked at some camo Novas yesterday and I thought they were $325 in camo and $299 in the standard black.
