baby eagles
hi guys...im wondering if anyones had any experience with the baby eagle pistols...specifially 9mm

These are very well made, and reliable pistols. Accuracy is very good due to the Israelies use of octagonal rifling. I only have experience with the Baby Eagle in 9mm (full size, and compact) and I've never seen one have a failure of any kind. Mags are compatable with CZ75 mags as well. I believe this pistol to be as good as any other current production 9mm on the market.

Friend has one. He likes his. It works fine.
Its basically a CZ-75 clone; strong, reliable, ergonomic.
Its as good as any 9mm; personally I prefer this design over the Beretta or Glock, but thats entirely subjective.
The Israeli made guns cost more new than the authentic Czech CZ-75s; The advantage of the Israeli version is debateable, but the polygonal rifling in the Israeli gun probably helps accuracy a bit. Plus you get the "coolness factor" of having an Israeli pistol (for whatever that's worth).
Also, unlike the standard CZ-75, if I remember correctly, the Israeli gun has a slide mounted de-cocking safety, so you can't carry cocked and locked.
If its just the design you're after, you can get a similar gun in the Italian made EAA (Tanfoglio) Witness, for around $300. I think CDNN investments still has the polymer frame versions for sale brand new for $280. In fact, the Baby Eagle parts are actually made by Tanfoglio, but all the post-manufacture fitting, finish and assembly are done i Israel.0 -
beantownshootah, are you referring to the polymer frame guns? All the steel frame ones I've seen and owned (including the Uzi Eagles) are manufactured by IMI.
cannibus, I don't have any experience with the polymer framed guns, but all mine were trouble free and accurate---- wish I hadn't given them to my sons !0 -

Can't speak to the polymer gunsl never tried one.
But the frames and slides are made in Italy by Tanfoglio and assembled in Israel. The polygonal rifled barrels are made in Israel.0 -

I bought my girlfriend the compact in 40 S&W with the steel frame. They do indeed make a polymer frame as that was what she first picked up at a gun show. I prefer steel and so that is what I got her. The pistol has only had a few hundred rounds through it but no problems and I am happy with the accuracy. And she loves the name!!! LOL

I had one in 9mm a while back and had zero problems with it. Great gun. Mags, as people have noted, are pretty easy to come by.
The Jericho (aka Baby Eagle) is one of the few guns I have sold that I have regretted selling.0 -

I stand corrected. They do now have a polymer framed version. That one has a built in accessory rail (see below).

beantownshootah...are these MA compliant? i found a guy on here selling them from stoughton and emailed him and now he said they arent MA legal...do you know if they are or not? 0
