what does armor-pericing fin-stablised discarding sabot rounds mean

  It means:
  
  1. It pierces armor
  
  2. It is stabalized by fins on the back of the round, much like an arrow.
  
  3. Discarding sabot means the round sits inside of a protective shell and upon exiting the muzzle the "shell" blows off leaving the round exposed and allowing the fins to spring out.

  It means "Death to Tanks!".
  
  It pierces a certain amount of armor.
  
  It has fins on it like a dart.
  
  It has a big diameter enclosure that it rest in until it's fired.
  The enclosure is called the Sabot which means sleeve in French I think. It allows small diameter things to be shot out of large diameter barrels.
