sight model numbers

Is there a sight or forum that lists the model numbers of vintage sights such as marbles tang sights and old williams sights. I find sights all the time that the owner doesn't know what it will fit. Another question, does anybody know if a lyman receiver sight for a marlin or winchester will work on a remington 141?
