Yugo M56 kits?

Has anyone built one of the M-56 Yugo kits. If so how hard is it. I have built a few AKs and would like to try something new. Does anyone know of a forum for these guns? I found a web site with 80% rec. Has any one tried one of these? Any info would be great thanks.

    the guns are cheap enough already to buy, why not just buy one, and if you want the experience of building one, take the whole thing apart and build it back again

    SPud I think in this case, you don't know what you are talking about.

    Imacbo, if they shoot from a closed bolt, it looks like it would be a pretty easy built. If from an open bolt, it will be more trouble than it is worth. Either way, you would need to build a pistol, not a rifle as you are working with a short barrel, and compliance parts are not available.

    Like I said I've built a couple of AKs and really enjoyed the whole process. I would like to try something new now. And I would like the price to say around what an AK is to build. If you have any ideas let me know.

    No offense meant, but I doubt your going to find anyone in their right mind that going to admit that they have built a Yugoslav Model 56.

    As a previous poster noted the only possible legal way you could build one, would be extensive/expensive modifications to the mechanism to enable it to fire from a closed bolt. I don't know for a fact, but I doubt the 80% receivers your talking about are set up for closed bolt operation.

    Well if not a yugo then what is there that is in the same price range as a Ak. I was able to build one for under 200.00 so any ideas on what I could build for the same price.
