7.5 Swiss hunting ammo

Does anyone know of a company that is loading a hunting bullet for the 7.5 Swiss. I have fallen in love with my Schmidt-Rubin, and would love to be able to use it for hunting.

    www.grafs.com sells Hornady brand, 7.5 Swiss loaded with a 165 grain soft point for $20 a box.

    I bought some ammo loaded with 150 gr. soft point using Graf brass but it was loaded to 2400 fps. here on Gunbroker. I have since loaded my own with 165 Sierras, 168 Nosler J4's to 2600 fps and 150 Sierra GK's to 2700 fps. Nothing hot as keeping this round at moderate charges has maximized accuracy. There is some pretty impressive loads out there on the internet that can run as much as $90.00 for a box of 20 rds. I think I'll stay with Nosler hunting performance and the accuracy of the rifle, and Sierra for the Target accuracy.

    You said Schmidt-Rubin for a rifle. 2400 fps. may be all you want if it is an 1896. I understand the 96/11's are stronger but best to work up to loads in them. Not exactly do-able if you don't reload your own. You may ask the reloader who sells these rounds on Gunbroker what he would work up to for you. The seller is MRNAMBU.

    On the Swiss Rifle forum, one thread listed some chrono readings for the GP11 ammo (7.5x55Swiss out of a K-31) at 2566 and higher.
    Does anybody have any other 7.5 Swiss ballistics?

    Not to hijack the thread, but I have chrono'd GP11 out of my K-31 @2660. Slightly higher than the standard of 2640 fps but it was hotter than what Swiss specs call for the round to perform at, 70 deg. F. It had a nasty but not unbearable but kick to it too.

    I know that Norma loads for the 7.5 Swiss but I still prefer to roll my own for the greatest satisfaction.
