Gun smith parts

I was at a yard sale the other day and purchased an 10' table full of parts most new in packages 1873 springfield firing pins, ithica 37 firing pins, put it this way the table was 10' stacked about 12" high with bins and draws, stocks, old barrels etc speer reloading manuals from #1 up most of the items are from the 50's and 60's. where can i get a book to look up some of these parts what do i look for in a book? any help is great you can email me at muzzy@epix.net

  I don't think your going to find one or two books to cover your needs. Sounds like your going to need a lot of books for the information your looking for. I think a good place to start would be the auction sites, closed or sold auctions. that should take care of about 90% of your find. The other 10% is either not worth listing or extremly rare.

  A catalog from gunpartscorp.com would be a good place to start. It will show a drawing in mist cases, and give you an idea what others are asking for equivalent parts. They cost about $15, and are about 1200 pages.
