Savage 24V-A Worth

My uncle wants to sell his savage 24v-a .222 over 20 ga. it has the blued rather than case hardened reciever. it also has a dog hunting some sort of bird engraved on it. the blueing is probably 98% conservatively. the wood is fluer de lis checkered and i would rate it at about 95%. apparently, this combo is only made in 1967. he wants $300 and i think it is a very reasonable price.

I'm not an expert, but i did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

  Be very careful and make sure it will shoot.
  
  I had a new one of these years ago and it only fired half of the time. It was a piece of JUNK.

  That is a fair price. The 24s are going nowhere but up in value.
