Can anyone give me any information about this pistol. What it is used for and how much it is worth. It's in its original box with instructions( in German )

  Its a starter pistol made in the mid 50's when Walther was just resuming production of firearms in West Germany. In German, UP = Ubungspistole.
  
  Don't know how much it's worth? Haven't seen one for sale. As it's not a conventional firearm don't know how much one NIB would be worth to a collector?
