gauges question

was there or is a 32 gauge because on the Remington Express Load shotshell box it says be careful or "a .410 could fall into the barrle of a 32 gauge and become lodged"?

  Little known, little used, shotshell gauge. Still made and used in Europe, both the shotguns and ammo.

  Hello gunzforever: Well actually there was/is a 32ga as well as a 24 ga. Off the top of my head, I know Iver Johnson made there little single shot Champion in both. Also I've seen a Special Order Winchester Md 21 that was a 32 ga. with a Factory letter. Did a couple of searches through my books those were the only two big American manufacters who made a 32 ga. (I know some will say Iver Johnson was not big, but from the turn of the century to WWII they about owned the single shot shotgun business.) Regards Dave
