.250 savage ammo

What factory ammo selection is available?
I know of the Rem Corelokt 100gr and Win silver tip 100 gr. Is there any others out there?
I am about to trade for a 99 in .250 savage otw known as .250-3000 rifle in what appears to be beautiful condition. Has a beautiful old Weaver 330 scope on it. Ser#413558 which researches out to be made in 1941.
Any help appreciated.

    I bought my Savage 99 a few months ago. It is in .250-3000 caliber as well. They shoot accurately with almost no recoil. The ammo you listed should do the job on game as large as deer with no problem. I prefer the Winchester Silvertip. I believe the ammo is factory loaded only with 100 grain bullets. I hope you enjoy your new gun. You are making a good choice.

    Thanks guys. I just walked in with the 99 from making the trade. What a sweet piece, even found 2 boxes of Remington Express ammo. Guess it's range time tomorrow. That little Weaver scope will be interesting to shoot with also. Won't do much in low light, but it sure is clear otherwise. I'll get some pics up soon, just to brag... LOL

    I reload for my cut down Mauser in 250Sav and can of course have anything I want for it. If I wanted store bought ammo I'd look at "Cheaper then Dirt" as they offer a pretty good selection of ammo, some of which is at reasonable prices even with the shipping cost. A buddy of mine has a deal with a custom reloading shop to get his. I think he has to buy it buy lots of 100 to get a reasonable price. But then he gets to spec out the load and components.

    depending on how old your sav. is if the 100 gn bullets don't shoot you may have to reload 87 gns. the older guns had a slower twist and some may not shoot 100 gn.'ers the best.
