ID'ing an M44

ok, i've been reading up on M44's, and i'm trying to find out which manufacturer made mine, they said Tula and Ishevsk were the 2 factories which produced them. i'd also like to know if it was a war model or a post war model, they also said that a post war rifle has two "ears" on the bayonet, what are they talking about?

  This is the best on-line reference I'm aware of, concerning the various models & manufacturers. It's a gold mine for collectors. With a little time and research on your part it will give you chapter and verse on Your M 44.
