olympic arms, also, the K8

how are the olypic arms line of rifles? they are cheaper in price but i was looking at the k8 model especially, if anyone has one of these, how are they for accuracy and dependability? also, can i convert it to a different caliber, such as 50 beowulf? i dont know much abut AR's but would like to get one, one day. any other suggestions for target/varmint AR's under $1000?

  I'm pretty happy with mine. I have a service match with a 24" SS button rifled barrel. I functions with wide variety of ammo. With open sights and a little luck I can get group around an 1 1/2" at 100 yards with match ammo. The K-8 with optics on top should have no problem going uder an inch. You can't go wrong for the money.
  
  You should be able to put any other AR upper of your choice on it. I'm in the proccess building a varmint rig in the new 204 Ruger for my Oly lower.
