coyote taxedermy?

how much would it cost to get a coyote stuffed? im planning on doing some hunting this season for them and have never taken one before. i would like to get my first one stuffed if it isnt too expencive.

    Taxidermy is not cheap. If you are thinking a head mount, several hundred dollars at least. Full body mounts are likely to go a thousand or more.

    Many guys will not do yotes, a lot of trouble and they STINK. Check first before you pack one home...

    Another decent song dog trophy would be a throw skin. There are several good, how to skin and prep cyote hides, flics out there. I've got one that stops just short of tanning, as he is selling the hides to the fur industry, but it covers everything eles. Check out varmint hunter mags for adds.

    Haven't had a coyote done yet, but this Fox and Pheasant with habitat scene ran about $750, display case was an additional $650.

    Andy, I have 2 fox and 2 bobcat mounted. They run around
    $350 here for a full body mount. I guess a yote would be around $500 to $600. I saw a nice cinnamon colored yote that a guy had tanned and was spread out on his bed. It looked real good. There is a place called Moyle's Tannery that will tan hides very reasonable. If I ever get a big yote with a good hide, I will probably send it to Moyles and get the rug done.

    Andy, My father-in-law (of two years) is a taxidermist and I personally know of 4 full body mounts of coyotes that he has done for customers. If I recall correctly it ran between $350-500. So there are some that will do it, but hes in Arkansas, nowhere near NY.

    I shot a Yote a few years ago in South Texas and the owner of the place wanted to have it mounted so I gave it to him.Seems it ran him about $450.

    Around here anyway you really have to shop around because there can be a huge difference in prices.Fortunately,there are several guys around here who do it on the side and are very reasonable compared to the bigger shops.

    Had a fox done by a guy here in town several years ago.He had never done a fox so he didn't know what to charge.He was gettin' $150 on deer shoulder mounts so that's what he quoted me.A few months later he finally got it done and said,"Now I know why they get $400-$500 to do these!"[:D]

    I had a rug made when I shot a coyote about 15 years ago in Pennsylvania before they were "officially" there. It was about 2/3 of the full body mount. It still hangs on my cabin wall. It looks great and it doesn't take any floor space.

    a guy across the border in Union, West Virginia does mounts pretty cheap. he did a mount of a bobcat with a squirrel in its mouth, this was how my uncle killed it, for $475.

    I'm not an expert, but i did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
