posted this over in gen discussion but thought I'd throw it out here too.

which fo you guys think I would be served better by? a new nef handi ultra varmint like this

for about $299 ( i think thats what their going for can anybody tell me different? )

or a savage like this

BOTH IN 22-250

is the price difference worth it?

  i would go for the savage myself unless you plan on carrying iot around alot. the extra shots can come in handy sometimes. find some people who own the handi rifle. mine was pretty finicky about some of the bullets it would shoot.
  
  I'm not an expert, but i did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

  Get the Savage. You won't regret spending a little more on a much better rifle. I don't have anything bad to say about the H&R, but I've never been let down by my Savage 22-250. I live right in the middle of prairie dog heaven and have hunted them with both Savage and H&R...Out of the two, I like the Savage best.
