    I have a chance to buy a Yogo sks for 150.00 out the door.Is this a good deal?My only use for it would be plinking.

    And this has come to pass,not to stay.

    we had to make our own for my wife's Yugo. The standard one (from our Chinese models) didn't work. Get a bolt and file a groove in it. Drill a hole below the bolt head and run a thin nail through perpendicular so you can turn it without having to use a wrench.

    Good. I'm glad you got it to work. My post and pictures show a tool that will drift the windage as well as the elevation, and the shape modifications (ground away configuration) are for the side to side windage adjustment. The slot in the handle is for the elevation adustment and it also may need to be widened just a hair to fit over the Yugo's post, but then will work just fine. It also works on AKs and is a good buy for 6 to 10 bucks.

    What ever you do don't back the post completly out. They split the post, the end that screws into the barrel, then opened it up a bit. with a chisel. To install it you'll need a nut the same size and fine thread to close the split part enough to start the post into the barrel. I guess I'll be seeing the gun smith tomorrow.I hope the gunsmith has a nut that will fit the post. I took it out to see if there was any cosmoline underneath the post.I was right, there was enough cosmoline under the post to keep me from screwing the post down.I guess the smart thing to do is , back off the post until you can see the split in the post.The dunk the barrel into the cleaner of your choice.[B)][B)][B)]
