Colt historical letters

HELP!! What happened to the Colt Firearms Co. (Colt's Patent F. A. Co.) web site? It used to pop right up. I can no longer find one that has the info. it used to, namely, how to get a historical letter for an old Colt. I got some kind of web site but it had nothing about civilian guns or info. Thanks for any and all replies. Jim
P.S. Does someone else have the authorization to do historical letters? if so, who? Thanks
