Got my new...
CVA Optima today. Turned out the old Staghorn I had had a recall on it. They said to send the whole gun in and I'd get a replacement. Figuring the replacement gun would be the bottom of the line 50cal, I was suprised to find an Optima waiting for me when I got home.
My question is...
How are the rifle barrels for this? Any good/bad luck?? Likes/Dislikes?? Thinking of getting a .270 and 30-06 barrel.

Why are the Staghorn being recall, I have two and my wife shoots one.

Only the guns with serial numbers ending in -95 or -96. Go to the CVA web site and they will have a number to call to find out if it is or isn't affected.....

They told me to package the whole thing up and send it to the address they gave me. In return I recieved a 209 primer/Magnum capable Optima which I shot for the first time to day and absolutely love. If you lose the address to send it to E-mail me, I may still have it.
