Fair price for an SA 03???

What would be a fair price for a Springfield 03 Sn 54537X w/ an 8-42 barrel in a good condition C stock? Neighbor has it for sale, I think it is a CMP rifle.

  Its a low numbered receiver [dont shoot] with a ww2 barrel [rebuild]....= less than $300; unless that c stock is a v-nice 20s/30s vintage
