Getting someone to make a mainspring can cost more than buying another gun. About 4 to 6 hours to make a mainspring. If you can't find the maker of the gun and get a replacement spring, the best bet is to buy a repro spring as close as possible to the original and have it installed. Repro springs run around $15 but possibly couple hours work fitting and tempering the spring. If Dixie does not have it, then Friendship, IN in the second week of Sept. for the fall national NMLRA shoot at the Walter Cline range would be the only other place to find it. Many vendors with all types of parts in the sheep sheds there for the full 10 days. Check out the site at
