Have a Winchester 1890 .22 cal, Serial# 178xxx. Wondered if anyone could tell me what year it was made in? Thanks for the help

  According to my source,it was made in 1903,but some sources are not always spot on.

  You can determine the exact date of manufacture by contacting the Cody Firearms Museum - http://www.bbhc.org/firearms/records.cfm and purchasing a factory letter. That said, my guess is that it was manufactured in late 1904 to early 1905.
