Scpoe Help, Please
Hello Ya'll, I have a older weaver(made in USA) scope a T10 micro tech. I have a little nef single shot in 22-250. Is this enought scope for this round? Since i live in florida i won't be shooting paririe dogs at 600 yards. Is this enought scope for this round? Just a all around gun.Thankyou John

It should be plenty. Some like variables and some want scopes 93x-437x and some want them the size of storm sewers, but this one should be fine out to as far as you can reasonably take a shot. 0 -
Yes its plenty i have a Rem.22.-250 with a older Lyman 10X on it works very well for crows and ground hogs out to as far as i can shoot it 300+ yds ....If you go with one of those real high power scopes say above 14X you need a real steady rest or you sure do notice every little breath and shake you make . 0 -
I wouldn't want to chase pasture poodles with only a 10x rig at 600yds,..but I guess you can use it if you want to. For 300yds yes,..but they start getting pretty small after that. I would like 20X and up for 600yd prairie dogs,..but what do I know,..I'm from the east coast. I would however wonder how much dog is covered even by fine crosshairs.
A 10x riig can give you some great learning experiences at long range however.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

What you have there is a pretty good scope construction wise. It should outperform you NEF single shot. It won't have the lens coatings that help with light transmission at dawn and dusk but plenty of power and a fine crosshair that you can shoot at any varmint you can see through it. That would give you at least 500 yds. if the NEF is up to it.
Know the drops of your bullet choice at each distance and adjust for the elevation of that.
