High Standard 1911

I have a high standard 1911, if empty will lock and cock, if one in pipe will not. What can I do to solve this.

  Any feelings on how good or bad would like honest answer just a shooter not a carry gun or target shooter. Semper Fi

  Do not know about the camp perry model, but the new high standard is not the old high standard, the name is being used since the old high standard went belly up in 84, this new outfit is from texas, and rumor has it their 1911's are actually Armscor, and are not very highly rated

  Some of their 1911's are Armscor, and they are cheap junk. They do make an American made version which looked pretty good at the Shot Show, but I think you would be better off with a Kimber/S&W/Colt or something like that.
