Three position safety

Any chance of putting a three position safety, like the winchester model 70, on a remington 700 or even better a remington model 7. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  not to be smart or anything, but i would want to know why you would want the 3 position safety. my remingtons open up on safety or fire. unless the gun is a target gun, i can see no need for it. i would like to know why you would want the 3 position safety.

  bperdue21: havent you learned that gun nuts always want to change anything changeable, whether it makes sense or not. I personally like the Remington type safety much better,its so much easier to use.But its whatever turns you on as log as its his gun and his money,to each his on.

  To each his own,for sure,but the three position safety is the exact reason that I got rid of my Ruger Model 77 MkII.Didn't like it from day one.Replaced it w/an A-Bolt.(tang safety)
