Spanish model 95 ,what calibers?

can anyone advise me if you can rebarrel a mod.95 spannish mauser to 6.5 sweede ?will a sweede barrel screw right on to it? also is it strong enought to handle a 8mm? or are there other difficulties involved in that ?

  YES YOU CAN REBARREL TO 6.5x55 AND YES A SWEDE BARREL WILL SCREW ON TO A M-95 ACTION. HEADSPACE IS ANOTHER MATTER THOUGH, IT MAY BE SHORT, RIGHT ON, OR LONG...ONLY YOUR GUNSMITH WILL KNOW FOR SURE. A M-95 WILL ALSO BE STRONG ENOUGHT FOR THE 8MM MAUSER COMMERCIAL LOADINGS BUT SOME (MOST?) SURPLUS MIL. AMMO WILL HAVE TOO MUCH PRESSURE.

  thanks for the info i was mostly wondering about the 6.5 sweede the 8mm was just a thought of "what if".
