400 corbon

I have a barrel for a SIG P220 that was made to shoot 400 Corbon. Would that be safe? The person I purchaed it from had it made by a gunsmith. I really dont know why. I put it away for years and recently ran across it. Should I trash it? I know nothing about that round.

    I looked at a customized colt that is in 400 corbon. To me the frame looked a little longer and thicker under the barrel than the standard 1911. I have seen the drop in barrels but I was wondering could I drop in a 45 acp barrel and what about the mags? Are they the same size or do you have to use different ones?

    Any help is appreciated,

    .400 Cor-Bon is a necked-down .45 ACP, so the mags and breechface are the same. Depending on how this gun was converted, you may be able to do a drop-in barrel. However, if the .400 uses a ramped barrel, you will have to have a gunsmith fit a ramped .45 ACP barrel.

    Save the seals-club a liberal instead.
