Jennings 9mm
i was thinking about getting the wife a pistol for her birthday(im a true romantic)she doesnt like the kick my .357 revolver has so i saw an auction for a jennings 9mm, ive heard a few bad things about them, are they really junk?its going for $110.00 w/ 2 mags, ive also thought about a cz52 for her,about same price. her father has one and loves it. i would appreciate any and all your advice, they would mainly be for target shooting, thanx

Jennings=Jimenez Arms=Feces[;)] If budget is a concern look for a Star Model B or similar. A Jennings Nine is a throwaway gun and is primarily popular amongst gangbangers of questionable immigration status[xx(]

EAA Witness. ~$300-~$350, depending on locale. 15+1 TDA, dead reliable gun. Nice shooters too.

I have a fine example of this firearm....At best it is a Jamamatic Turd....
I would suggest checking out the police trade ins....Lots of excellent S&W 39,59 and 69 series 9mm's out there. A decent one can be purchased in the 250.00 range.

There are lots of good used Smith 9mms out there used for $250 or less, and not only are these reliable and all-steel, but Smith will stand behind them.

Star BM SOG has them for 139.99 (129 for 2 or more) Great reliable pistol and far superior to Jennings

If your looking for quality made firearm and a with a cheap price tag, look to the surplus market ... a CZ-52, CZ-70 ... any Makarov ... fairly new to the market is the Zastava Model 70 (32acp).
These are all fantastic values and well made firearms..
