Whats a good power for a short range scope for indoor range and outdoor range use?

    not 100% sure what you mean but I like a 2.5 -- 5 x 28 on my marlin 44mag which is a short range rifle

    friend of mine has a 2.5 leupold on is scout rifle which works very nice

    Nikon makes a very nice 1.5-4.5 x 20 scope. This is a rifle scope. For a handgun scope, Burris 2x or 4x.

    I have a Leupold 1-4 scope on my Savage 99 that is clear and does a very good job for me.

    I have a few. One is a Bushnell 1.75- 4X32. Another is a 2.5X Leupold Turkey Ranger. Those 4X scopes with a circle rectile are very good.

    I have a Leupold 1.5-5 on my 375 H&H mag that I really like, on low power it could see my front sight so I took the sight off, on 5 power I can shoot as small as 1.5" groups at 100 yards with it, I feel like this is a pretty darn good useful range ( from up in your face close to 100 yards and more ) for a scope.

    I have a front mounted Burris 2 3/4 on a 44 mag browning carbine, and it works very well, up close to as far as that rifle needs to shoot...two eye target aquisition, and clear, uncomplicated. It works.

    Don't pick on my mule, and we'll get along just fine!

    Hello IMHO you should look at the scopes that are made for TARGET type air rifles they are high quality and are parallax free at short ranges.This rifles are shot at 10 meters /33 feet.

    On what gun and for use at what range?

    SInce you mention indoor use, I will assume that the maximum distance is going to be 100 yards. For a pistol, a 1.5-4x or similar. FOr a rifle, fixed 4x or maybe a 2-7x.

    Save the seals-club a liberal instead.
