I have .17HMR rimfire REVOLVER--I know that's not technically a pistol--that is less than two years old. Definitely not an antique. And RUGER has announced plans to release a .17HM2 semi-auto PISTOL in their new MARK III configuration within the near future. Both the caliber/rounds to which I refer are newly developed/released products that would hardly be thought of as antique. As Mr. Nunn, indicated--other than .22 or .17, most, if not all, other rimfire calibers are probably obsolete or antique.
