DPMS 308 sights??????

Yes i know it wasnt designed for open sights ,but has anyone figure out a good way to do it yet maybe a elevated globe front sight ? or do they sell these already made. the sight that is. i have seen this type of sight on the end of match AR15 type rifles ,the ones with the bloop tube on them .if you have done this to the LR308 how did it work out ??? or any other options anyone else has thought of.

  Robert,
  
  They aren't that hard to make since it only requires a simple design. If you have machining experience, this should be a snap. If not, a friend that does or a gunsmith, should be able to handle it. I would solve the rear sight first then start on the block which can be used to adjust the height as required.
