optic setup advice
I want a scope for my ak-47 and was going to go with a dust cover set up. But all i hear about it is negative feedback> Sources say a side rail setup is better. One thing though. I'm a lefty and would assume the scope being on the other side would be hard for me to use. Any advice?? please!

I would also agree to stay away from the action cover set up unless you send it away to Mark Krebs or another AK expert smith to fit it . the side rail i would not think give you any trouble the rail is centered over the bore so lefty /righty it would be the same. Plus the side rail mount is pretty solid and quick detachable. 0 -

I dont know how much you wanna spend but maybe look at the russian made scopes that have the mount built as part of the scope ??? they sell for about 100.00 and some are listed here on GB heck of alot better than the 2 you have listed ,and designed for the AK type rifle from the start 0 -
Yeah some of those setups look confusing to me. Not sure if I got the right side rails. Mine look like 2 half rectangles with 2 half pear shaped indentions...is it supposed to be like that? God is good. God is great.
