Stolen guns...Register?

    What ??? Im not so sure I even want to comment on this . If if any reason You think its stolen - what in gods name are you doing with it ? If in any doubts at all , I will RUN the other way from a 'possible' stolen gun??? just not worth the headache !!! Have it checked (local law enf.) be prepared to prove 'who' you bought it from
    and eat the costs...Register ??? what commie state do you live in ???
    Move here to a non-commie state and never register another gun , well
    on second thought , just stay where you are , we dont need guys like you here screwing things up for the rest of us !!!

    If you are asking if it is "wise" to register a stolen gun, then by all means YES you should, it may keep you out of trouble. If you mean you do not KNOW the history of the firearm then it is best to register it to find out. No harm, no foul.

    Perhaps you should clarify your question. Do you live in a community or state/county that requires gun registration?
    If not, why would you want to register it???

    The two worst things that could happen to you here in the U.S.A. are Bubonic Plague and gun registration. Many people have heard the term so often they think it's mandatory everywhere.

    A woman walked into a nearby police station with a handgun that her dead husband left behind, wanted to get it "registered". They took her name, model and serial# of the gun and she left, satisfied that she'd fulfilled her legal obligations. The two officers looked at each other with questionable looks, crumpled up the "registration" and tossed it in the waste basket. One asked the other "Wonder if she'll be in tomorrow to register her toaster or MixMaster"?

    Give us a hint. Why do want to register it?

    Don't worry about it, we usually do not register them here unless used in a crime, or are fully auto, and with a suppressor, and it's best to take it into the police station to register it fully loaded, they really like it when you do that

    Irish Chick may well be a newbie to firearms as well as new to this forum. Before we label her a troll, let's remember we were all new to this world at one time.
    What I read into this question was someone looking for a place to post a missing gun. Perhaps she was hoping for help in recovering it.
    All she got was derision and ridicule.
    Let's not be so quick to judge others until we know the circumstances.
    Reading these responses could well turn someone sitting on the fence into another gun hating liberal who thinks all gun owners are as ignorant as some on this forum are acting.
