410 shells in a Vaquero?

Aside for more lead build-up in the barrel, can I shoot these shells in my 45LC revolver without damage?

    The Vaquero's cylinder lenght is 1.703 for the old model, 1.610 for the new model, a .410 shotshell is 2.5 or 3 inches long.

    Well this is interesting. There are handguns that will fire 45LC or 410 ( I have a single shot) but you guys are right the length of the shell is too long for a revolver... at least the Ruger. Does anyone make a multi-shot pistol that will take a 410? Now, I'm thinking not.

    The Thunder 5 was the only one I new about. I think there is a BFR that shoots 410's as well

    Yeah, the BFR is the only one I can think of, also made in 45-70, 444 Marlin, etc., check out how long the cylinder is. Link:

    You could custom load some by cutting the tube (this would work best with paper shells), but why bother? If you want to have some shot loads, the fast / easy way is to sandwich some shot between two gas checks and lightly crimp the case mouth to hold it together.

    CCI-Speer recently started making their plastic shot capsules for 45 colt. They work reasonably well in 44 mag for me, and hold more shot than the 2 gas check method.

    I once saw a Colt .45 SA that had two cylinders welded together and the frame stretched so it became a .410 shooter. Probably a violation of the law but the same could be done again. But why mess up a good gun?

    Thanks everyone for the replies guys. I really felt like a dumb a** until King, Head, and Rich mentioned some options.

    What started this was I visited my place in north central NV a week ago. I hope to build and move in 18 months. I talked at length to a local guy (that I met on this forum) about things like SNAKES. Yeah, they have them and not the pencil sizes kind I have here in scenic Lizton, IN.

    I'm not sure I could hit a snake from 10 ft with a bullet but a 410 I could.

    I'll check-out CCI first.
