What's the best .22 pocket pistol?

Beretta? Taurus? Walther TPH? Other?

Any of these actually reliable? (in function. . .not stopping ability!)

The question is. . .which .22 pocket pistol is the best one? I'd prefer an automatic over a spur-trigger single action revolver.

Serious answers are appreciated.

    All the ones you listed are good choices, might also take a look at the mini-revolvers by NAA if you want a real mouse gun

    I have a NAA mini-revolver and I like to carrie it when I really need something small.[:D]
    I also own a Beretta 950 BS. It has never caused me any problems but I just don't seem to like it.[V]
    I've shot the Walther TPH and loved it. If you have to go with a .22 auto my vote would be for the TPH.[;)]

    I've owned the Beretta and a Taurus both where fine little guns , but a friend of mine that was the owner of a gun shop for many years always carried a Walther TPH , he said it was the only one he would bet is life on and one day it did save his life

    I like the Beretta Bobcat, but the sights are poor and I really distrust its lack of an extractor. I've read that somebody offers a better set of sights and the fitting of an extractor. If such can be done (especially with luminous sights) that would make the Beretta the primo choice. Its trigger pull is very much superior to that of the TPH. The difference in cost would pay for quite a bit of smithing on the Beretta, and the TPH's sights are not very good, either. GunsNStuff offers a 1/2" longer, threaded barrel for the Beretta .22lr, and that would offer a means to add a better front sight.

    the gun you have with you when you actually need one is the best gun of all. The other details fade into insignificance.

    Iver-Johnson also made a 22 auto based on the walther,it is , ofcourse, cheeper, but has been quiet reliable

    O.K. , here are a 'few' I have and seem to like (in NO order!)....
    Davis d22 derringer (or .22 mag.),kick me , its an elcheapo ,but!!!
    Walther tph (pricey & likes hi vel ammo "stingers"..)...
    Taurus tip-up barrel double action!!!! very nice - good price...
    NAA mini rev. (any config...) Nice & Small...
    Iver Johnson (if you can locate one)...inexpensive but great...
    S&W model 317??? "airweight" ...really nice !!!...

    of course , there are countless others...But these are a few I have that comes to mind...

    there's no point in having a mini-revolver, they are so awkward and slow for each shot, so unsafe with their tiny butts, hammer spurs and spur triggers that they are a mere bad joke.
