any one ever heard of a rifle that shoots .25cal rimfire if so where can you get the ammo.

  I happen to have a Stevens .25 not 10 feet from me. Ammo hasn't been produced in years as far as I know. You may be able to score at a gun show, but it'll cost you.

  Rusty, the .25 Stevens cartridge, in both Short and Long configurations, was a moderately popular load for inexpensive single shots for many years. The last ammo loaded was made by Dominion (CIL) on contract for Speer. The Dominion factory which was used to make this and other "obsolete" cartridges was destroyed by a fire sometime in the 1970s and none has been made since then. Typically a box of these shooters brings $35 - $65. Too bad . . . it's a nice little cartridge.
  
  victor, the .25-20 (both the WCF and Single Shot versions) and .25-35 are center fire rounds.

  I shoot mine with 27 Caliber Ram-Set blanks and .25 caliber air rifle pellets cemented to the rose crimp. Use the lowest power lest you blow the skirt off of the pellet in the chamber.
  If you shop a little it will run you about $13.00-$15.00 per hundred.
