Herters shell holders?

I have a number of shell holders that I believe are for a Herters press. Some are threaded inside with what appears to be 5/16-18 threads. Can anyone confirm this for me. Been lying around for years.

    Send an e-mail to Ed Sager at HERTERSPECIALST@aol.com. Tell him Art form Eagle Guns in Maine told you about him.I can tell you the two on the bottom are Herters. Let me know what the numbers stamped on them are and I'll tell you what caliber they fit.

    They are indeed old Herter shell holders. I have and still use one of the presses. They are very strong presses.

    Since I did not have all of the required shell holders for my reloading needs I modified a ram from a RCBS JR. to fit in place of the herter shell holder. It now uses Standard shell holders.

    Thanks ATF, all the shell holders look like the ones that are on the bottom lying down, they are just standing up. top row of holders are not threaded and they are #1,2,5,6,11,15,21,22 and 25. Bottom row are threaded inside and are #1,5,6,15 and 23. Didn't some presses require threads and later models did not? I have duplicates of some of them. Will e-mail herterspecialst (should there be an "i" between the "l" and "s") to see if he needs them. Thanks.

    I don't know anything about the older ones, Ed will be able to tell you. I have three presses and they all use the ones at the bottom of the page.That address was copied directly from my address book,if you have a problem with it let me know.If Ed don't want them let me know your price.[:)]

    Lachmiller Engineering Company's shellholders interchange with Herters, and these could be those also.
    The Herter/ MSS threaded shellholders I know of were male threaded. Echo 's were female threaded, about .65", but were not the larger diameter of the Lachmiller/Herter ones and did not have a flange, but did have a cut in the circumference for the spanner wrench.
    I cannot account for those 5/16" threads.
    The numbers for the Lachmiller and Herter shellholders are not all the same. The MSS and Herter #5 is for .222 Remington and the Lachmiller #5 is for the .25 Remington. The Echo # 5 is listed for the 6.5x53 and the .303 Savage.
    Some of the numbers coincided.
    The older Handloader's Digests contained great crossover charts, and I miss them in the later editions.
