Looking for a Colt part
I have a Colt open top .22 and think I need a trigger spring. It locks up and fires when I kick the trigger forward. Any ideas where to find or have one made.

Pistol, rifle, what are you talking about? In any case, do a yahoo search for Numrich Arms (gunparts corp) Bob's Guns, Jack First, and Brownell's Supply. The techs at Brownell's have access to a lot of exploded diagrams, can probably give you a part number. Numrich has lots of diagrams available online. 0 -
Made about 1870, and everyone knows the .22 was a pistol. None of the company's you mention have the part, it would probably have to be either made or fashioned from an almost matching part.

oh, yeah? Colt made quite a few .22 rifles, ya know, or had them made and put Colt's name on it. If none of those guys have it, you can figure on spending $100+ to have the part made. Is it worth it to you? 0 -
Son, you got to relax a little, obvisouly you don't know the value of some of the older Colts. It would be worth anything I would have to pay to have the part made. It shoots very well and is in excellent condition, I just want it to work properly without pushing the trigger forward. Look at one of my older posts if you want a picture of it. Now RELAX youngin, thats how you last here.
