Rem 1100, taking the plug out

Okay I'm no idiot but I can't remember how to get the plug out of my wife's Remington 1100 lightweight. Says she wants the gun handy and full of shells (5) for protection and doesn't feel right about leaving the plug in for that use which will limit her to 3 shots. I have a manual for it but can't find it this minute, can anyone answer this one for me?

  Remove the magazine cap and remove forend. In the end of the
  magazine you will need to remove the magazine spring retainer.
  
  There you are, you will have access to the mag. spring, magazine
  follower and plug.

  use a screw driverTo pop out the
  Spring retainer,Hold your hand over it to
  catch the cover and spring.
  Seen a hunting buddy not do it in a boat
  heading out opening day[:0]lost spring
  The Retainer is on the end of magazine
  With a hole and a slot
  Some are not to easy and need to be squeezed togather a bit

  Thanks to all of you, once you told me what to do I remembered it perfectly![;)]
  Sometimes my feeble mind just needs a nudge in the right direction.
  Oh Duckhunter by the way it didn't shoot me in the eye, more like whipped my cheek when I was trying to cap it back in place!
