Need help identifying
Please help me to identify this pistol. My Great Grandfather gave this to me. he captured this of a German Officer in WW2. Thanks.

Can anyone tell me what this pistol is and the approximate date it was made? It's been laying in the bottom of my gun cabinet for several years and I honestly don't remember where it came from. I was digging around in the cabinet looking for a pocket knife and saw it laying there. Decided to see if any of you knew anything about it.
The barrel size looks about the size of a .22 and it has rifling.
It is marked "Gerstenberger & Co" on the top and "FLOBERT 6m/m gezogen" on the side. Here are some pics:

If you need different pictures please ask. I can get any. It also came with a matching holster with the eagle and the swastika stamped on the inner part of the holster where the grip lies. 0 -

Your pistol was made for the German military during W W I, by the firm of Becker & Hollander, located in Suhl.
Their were a number of different manufacturers/models of these various substitute standard pistols, ( "Behelfspistoles" ) acquired by the Germans. The Beholla was just one of them.
The ones that are marked with German military acceptance stamp(s)* are most sought by collectors.
