browning Acher Special

Hi all, tring to find any information on a 16 gauge shotgun I have. It has the words "Fabrique Nationale D'Armes De Guerre Herstal Belgique" written on the side with Browning Patents under that and Acher Special on the barrow. I was wondering if anyone has any infomation on its worth and history since a couple of friends have hounded me about selling it. Thanks

    You have a Browning Auto-5. "ACIER" is nothing more than a reference to the steel used in the tube.

    The gun is not a Sweet 16 as it would be so marked if it was. You gave no hint as to condition, nor did you tell us anything about the gun. Thus, I have nothing to go on as far as value.

    Typical well used shooters can be had for $300.00. Guns in better condition and with more options are obviously worth more. On the other hand, a gun with broken components or in poor condition will fetch less.
