Savage .308/12ga O/U
Didn't Savage make a .308/12ga O/U combo? I see several .30-30/12ga Savage Model 24s, but can't find any info on a .308/12ga. Even Google couldn't help.

According to the B B, Models 2400 & 389 dating to the 70's & 80's were the only Combination Guns made that had a rifle barrel chambered for .308 Win.

The current Savage model 24 in .30-30/12ga combo is a good gun here in brushy florida. One minute your working your way through dense forest/brush and the next your in a fairly open swamp/bottom with a 60-80 yard shot. A .30-30/12ga is good but a .308/12ga would be much better.0 -
John, I have the Savage mod. 24 .30-.30 over 12 gauge and it is a great gun. I have never heard of or seen one with a .308 on top. I like this gun because I can load 165 gr. Nosler BT for it. It is an extremely accurate gun. I have been told the .30-.30- loaded hot can reach out to 200 yards and beyond. Honestly, I rarely ever get shots that far. The .30-.30 is devastating at 60-80 yds. like you mention your shots may be. EAA imports a Baikal that has the shotgun on top and the rifle on the bottom. I think it is available in .308/12 ga. for around $450
