Daewoo importers?
any of you know if Daewoo will be importing any time soon? I would love to get my hands on a new Dr200, but I dont know who (if anyone) will be importing them.

Under current federal law, you can't import "assault weapons" into the United States. The DR200, being a semiauto with an assortment of "evil" features definitely falls under that ban.
Importers can get around it by substituting enough American-made parts into it to have be considered a domestically-produced firearm, but why would any gun manufacturer capable of supplying the parts want to cut into their own market share?
Chances are it won't happen unless Daewoo opens up an American subsidiary like H&K, CZ, and SIG-Sauer. And that may not happen since they're not in the best of shape now.0
