this might be a dumb question but he we go do you have to go through the same back groud check to buy a muzzelloader

  NO background check or FFL, except for the TC's , NEFs and H&Rs that use a receiver that can be readily turned back into a breech loading rifle by swapping out barrels.

  Richbug has most of them, add the Savage 10ML to the list as well as any Mossberg pump shotgun that might be fitted with their muzzleloader barrel.
