30-06 Mannlicher Ammunition

I have a near mint 1954 Mannlicher Schoenauer half-stock in 30-06 Springfield. The gun was custom fitted with a Griffin and Howe sidemout and a Lyman 6X scope, but the rifle was also factory sighted-in at both 100 meters and 300 meters. Does anyone have any idea what ammunition, loads, grain bullet andstyle, and velocity this ammunition was? Mannlicher themselves say they no longer have records on this although I must say language was a bit of a barrier.

  Nice rifle.
  
  The only thing that I can help you with are some of the parameters that the Mauser factory used when they assembled ammunition for testing their rifles. This is from factory records.
  
  Sporting rifles:
  
  Weight of bullet - 150 gr.
  Weight of powder - 53.5 gr.
  Length of cartridge - 3.331"
  Length of bullet - 1.095" (spitzer)
  Muzzle velocity - 3000 fps.
  Muzzle energy - 2980 ft.lbs.
  Height of trajectory at a range of:
  100 metres = 0.60"
  200 metres = 2.4"
  300 metres = 6.3"
  
  Records of a loading for round nose hunting bullets weighing 150 grains list the velocity at 2900 fps. and the energy at 2920 ft.lbs. at a chamber pressure of 49,400 PSI.
  
  This information seems to drop right in with standard loading data for the 30-06 Springfield from several powder manufactures. Unfortunately it sounds like you will have to undertake a reloading and testing program just like with any new rifle.
