Marlin Lever action question, value, ??????????
I came by a Marlin model 56 lever action 22 at a sale in mo. the other day so I bought it.
upon getting home & looking it up I found they were made between 1955 - 1964 only 31523 made
after 1956 the receiver was made of aluminum , steel on first year production.
according to my books this rifle was only sold with a 22" barrel,
This rifle however has a 24" round barrel. All marking are correct on this rifle.
My question is , was this an ordered rifle and has anybody else came by this same thing. also the Condt of rifle is around 65% with the clip & org buttplate missing, so , if this was yours what would you
guess the true value at ??
