Italian SAA?

I went into a pawn shop today in my immense boredom and saw a rip-off Colt SAA that was made in Italy for 90 some-odd bucks (in used condition). It looks like an okay deal--I think it was a Tanfoglio, but I cant find any record of any being produced. the woman behind the counter mumbled the manufacturer, so it might or might not be Tanfoglio. The revolver was .22.

Any ideas? I just wanted a standard price to compare to.

  Armi San Marco and Uberti, also both of Italy, also make repro SAAs. I don't know about Tanfoglio. I don't think they do now but I suppose it's possible they did at one time. The Armi San Marco ones were pretty much crap but those made by Aldo Uberti are excellent quality.

  The one I saw definitely was not an Uberti, it didnt look high-dollar enough. It was probably a mid-range gun, kind of comparable to Llama.

  It could very well have been a Tanfoglio. I just came across this Tanfoglio "Yellow Rose Of Texas" .22Mag./LR SAA copy from 1989 that is listed starting at $100.00.
